Sommer a nice story

Oh I can't help it, I'm a sucker for a happy story. First Yo Yo Ma, now Philippe Quint. Click below for a video clip (NYTimes) of the thank you concert, held in the cab pool at Newark Airport. It seems likely that his cadrivers were a better audience than the season ticket holders who snooze and drool through their Lincoln Center/Carnegie Hall concerts..

Concert for Cabdrivers

  2. I seem to have bad cab Karma. There's the permanent neck injury from the pothole, the Let's-take-FDR-from-Tribeca-because-it's faster-than-Local-to-the-Lower East-Side. The We're-halfway-home-from-JFK-but-I-forgot my-ticket-and-must-return-to-the-cabstand, all in an unidentified language, The-BQE-by-way-of-the-Verrazano Bridge-to-JFK-from-Cobble-Hill...
